Fear.

I have just received via the wonder of the interweb, I have just received via the wonder of the interweb, a report on last weekend's Devoted and Disgruntled II. For those of you who don't know, it was a two-day talky-theatre extravanganza held at BAC.

It was a beautiful something that Emma Rice of the beautiful Kneehigh said that caught me and stopped me in my thought-tracks (as well as a marvellous bit by the marvellous Tom Wright on how directors can not be wankers).

All day I have been thinking and thinking about how to make The Dark Side Really Good. And the problem with this is, of course, that I forgot I am making it with other people. Or rather, we are making it together.

So instead I am writing a list of How I Want To Work, or The Values of Tickling.

We love to be creative, we are all in this ridiculous business because we are artists (no matter how wanky that sounds) and we like to play, imagine and create. And that is what we are going to be doing over the next seven days. Together.

PS. This is still rather scary.
